The Bronco Riptide concept is a custom-built vehicle created by Ford to show how Bronco owners can use accessories available at their local Ford dealership to outfit their Bronco. “We wanted the vehicle to demonstrate how Bronco customers can personalize their vehicle, letting different types of customers visualize what they might want to do with their future Bronco,” stated Bronco designer Missy Coolsaet.
Features
The Bronco Riptide project vehicle is based on the 2021 Bronco four-door with the Sasquatch package. This package features 35-inch mud-terrain tires mounted to 17-inch factory wheels with optional Ford Performance beadlock rings, electronic-locking front and rear axles, and a high-clearance suspension system with Bilstein position-sensitive long-travel shock absorbers. The Bronco Terrain Management System with seven G.O.A.T. Modes allows the off-road SUV to go over any terrain.
The Bronco Riptide is painted in Velocity Blue, which “is meant to evoke tropical sea hues,” according to Ford. The SUV interior features a mixture of Black Onyx and Dark Space Gray accents with rubberized washout flooring for easy clean-up. This concept Bronco features factory- or dealer-installed accessories, including a Rigid LED light bar, mirror-mounted auxiliary off-road lights, and a Bestop mesh top. Two prototype crossbars hold the sun-kissed surfboards seen in the image, while the steel front bumper is specifically designed for Riptide.
Can I purchase the Ford Bronco Riptide Parts?
The Bronco Riptide comes standard with an EcoBoost 2.7-liter V-6 and an automatic 10-speed transmission that produces 330 horsepower. Although order banks are currently closed for the 2022 Bronco, customers can order Riptide parts at their dealer when order banks open back up.
